A Story from the Heart

February is both beautiful and heartbreaking for me — the month my heart horse arrived on Valentine’s Day 2020, and the month I lost my beloved stallion in 2021.

My lifelong dream came true with the most gentle, unique Pintabian, only to be shattered within 21 days when African Horse Sickness struck. Our area was hit hard, and too many horses were lost. I fought with everything I had, but the virus won. Soon after, six more of our horses were infected — we battled on, losing one, but pulling five through, one of which was a 15-day fight who is the mother to my beautiful mare, Legacy.

In the chaos, I created log books to track treatments and dosages — bringing structure, clarity, and peace of mind when communication broke down. We still use them daily, and they’ve become a cornerstone of Heart Horse™ ZA.

Out of my grief, I made a promise: that the loss of my heart horses would not be in vain. Heart Horse™ ZA exists to help others with the tools, products, and structure that gave us hope. Everything we do is truly “Made from Love.”
